The 6th JAPAN MEDICAL INNOVATION PROGRAM 2017

November 12th 2017 (Sunday) – November 19th 2017 (Sunday)
(Applications Open July 24th 2017)

In 2014 the Kyushu University Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR) in association with the JST’s Sakura Science Plan, established a program to develop collaborations and harmonization strategies for translational research in the Asia region. The program used connections with academia, industry and government in Japan to act as hosts to talented medical innovators who can contribute to developing new innovations in the region. So far the CCTR has called 39 participants from 9 countries to take part in an intensive program to see the front line of medical innovation in Japan so that they may take the knowledge back to their countries and hopefully make fruitful collaborations between their institutions and the Kyushu University CCTR.

For the 6th Japan Medical Innovation Program (JMIP) we will recruit 6 young researchers from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam and India to tour various facilities in Kyushu and the wider area of Japan. Travel expenses and accommodations will be fully covered by the CCTR and the Sakura Science Plan. (Health insurance will be your own responsibility). If you are a young researcher who is interested in medical innovation in Japan who would like to bridge future connections with your institution and Kyushu University, please fill out the application as detailed and we would be happy to hear from you.
